GARY GLENN SENATE CANDIDATE QUESTIONS MI4CS

2012 MICHIGAN SENATORIAL CANDIDATE QUESTIONS

I. Constitutional Duties.

What is your understanding of your prescribed constitutional role and duty as a US Senator? Please elaborate.

A United States Senator has a profound, but limited role, in our constitutional republic. Article I of the United States Constitution vests Congress with the legislative (i.e., lawmaking) power. A United States Senator is one of 100 elected officials in one of two legislative chambers of the United States Congress. Pursuant to Article 1 of the Constitution, Congress, not the President or the Supreme Court, is the lawmaker for the federal government. However, Congressional power is limited to the express enumerated powers in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution. The 9th and 10th Amendments ensure that all powers not expressly provided to Congress are reserved to the States and the people.

The candidates were instructed to not include the questions, just their answers with their response, and that is how Gary Glenn responded. Therefore you will need to read the questions along with his answers below. He actually followed the instructions Sorry about any inconvenience this may cause.

Yesterday, May 15, 2012 Gary Glenn Submitted ******* 27,000 plus petition signatures to place him on the ballot.

Folks the signatures were gathered 100% by volunteers. Unlike the other candidates who paid solicitors to gather signatures.

Gary held a conference and rally outside the offices of the State Elections Commission before submitting the petitions.

In a talk after his interview with the press he addressed the crowd and mentioned are work has just begun.

During the Justin Amash Town Hall meeting in Middleville Michigan, voting results from the MI4CS giving Gary Glenn Tea Party support was announced at the meeting. We were able to get more Nominating Petition Signatures.

Folks, Gary still has long way to go and he still needs a lot of financial support and recognition.

Get out a get the signatures door to door, at shopping centers, among friends. I picked up a six signatures at league bowling.

Keep in mind, some of us will feel we are coming across as unusual by "getting political". What I have found is many will support your efforts because deep down inside they know our country is in trouble, but haven't been able find a way to express their concerns.

Remeber!!!!!!! By being active you are putting yourself on the cutting edge of history.

I have extra Palm Cards, Nominating Petitions, donation envelopes and info on Glenn.

Let's start doing our Tea Party thing!

If you have decided to support Gary Glenn for Senate 2012, aside from donations which he needs badly,

the one huge effort we need to do is helping him with recognition.

One simple step is getting out in your neighborhood door to door and ask for signatures on nominating petitions and handing out palm cards.

I took it upon myself to order a box of plastic door hangers and have been canvassing the Caledonia area.

Yes, most people don't recognize who he is. but that's the purpose of canvassing. What surprised me were the people negative on Hoekstra.

I have found the best time to canvass is weekdays between 4 and 8 PM. and Saturday 10Am till 2Pm.

Sunday between 2 and 4 PM. I don't like canvassing on Sunday but that is a choice.  I went to the Glenn website Garyglenn.us and studied up on his record. People will ask where he stands on issues.

You don't have to spend time converting someone because recognition is the main thing! If you can get a signature-all the better.

I am going to order another 2000 hangers from Uline which is a Wisconsin outfitl  Made in the USA.

If you are interested in ordering your own go to uline.com .

I ordered the 4X12 size found they are a little harder to stuff but less expensive at $21.00 per 1000. + shipping

There are other sizes available. The 6X12 clear is $26.00 + shipping.

Let me know if you are interested.
